The problem between Taiwan and China is one of the biggest assignment in the world, but Taiwan hadn't belonged to the present China untill 17th century. Untill 15th or 16th century Taiwan had been the independent country, and the Japanese pirate, Wakou, came there to occupy the country. The naitive citizens escaped to the mountain. From the end of 16th century to 17th century Holland governed the country, and built their castles. Eventually Chinese army won the battle with Holland in 17th century, and China captured Taiwan. This is why China insists now Taiwan belongs to her country like Taiwan have been in China for about 2000 years.

A country and a philosophy exist for human beings, and I don't hope it will be the other way around.
